Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: The crashes, the visuals are great, the crashes, the soundtrack, the crashes, the play modes, the crashes and the sense of speed. Did I mention the crashes.

Weakness: No licensed cars, recycled tracks.

Burnout may quite possibly be the best arcade racing title ever released. The game creates such a sense of speed that no other game has been able to match. The crashes are so well done that you will flinch when they happen. I wish this game had the pursuit mode that was in the second game, and some licensed cars, but with the horrifying crashes that are in the game I can see why car manufacturers...

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: Fast, Beautiful, Multiplayer.

Weakness: Soundtrack and no real cars are it's only weakness, and it's not so bad.

DO NOT COMPARE THIS TO GRAN TURISMO 4. This is the greatest non-sim racing game ever. The crashes are great, the different modes of play are awesome. The cars are insanely fast with a great variety of them. It's just great. Single player is damn good, but its better with friends. Team play is fun split screen. It's 20 dollars now, just buy the game. You will like it.

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: sense of speed

Weakness: nothing

this is the best racing game i have ever played. the sense of speed is awesome, the courses are great, the soundtrack rocks, the controls are fluid. This was for some the game of 2004, i agree. If you don't like racing games, or games in general; play this it will change you.

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: Awesome feeling of speed and SPECTACULAR crashes!

Weakness: Seems like you have to take the lead and not make any mistakes when you are racing or you will get left behind.

This game is an absolute BLAST! This game is no simulator game like GT4, but is an arcade racer and a great one at that! I think the best thing for me is the crash events where you try to cause as much damage as possible by driving in to various situations. The use of slow motion is really cool and very useful because it allows you to slowly steer your car in any direction. This comes in handy...

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: crashing into other cars and graphics

This the best racing game in 2004. In this game crashing is a good thing. watch other cars get blown up in your dust. Over 60 cars and 60 tracks. In this game crashing is as good as it gets.

Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2

Strengths: Fast and furious driving, beautiful takedowns, enough speed for anyone, many races in the world mode, a must-have for racing fans.

Weakness: Computer catches up too easily.

This is definitely one of the best racing games around and it just blows away all of it's competitors. Racing is just fast and furious as you speed through traffic while racing up to five other racers. Takedowns look great and they can even make you satisfied after you get into a crash yourself. The world mode gives you tons of races and such to do, such as standard races, time trials, eliminator...

Classic Burnout

Strengths: +Crashing cars is real fun +Revisit Modern Day Classic +Decent Soundtrack +Arcade Racing at its best +easy pick up play +online play

Weakness: -Sequel is much better -Dated game play

One of the most influential car racing games of its time. Car games were never really my thing, but I instantly became a fan of the burnout series. The idea of a game rewarding you for the amount of wreckage you can attain was very intriguing to me. The Burnout series is known for crashing car, and Burnout 3 took it to a whole new level. Crashing cars never looked prettier. Burnout 3 introduced...

Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2)

Strengths: fun, different racing game concept, lots of replayability

Weakness: None

I had Burnout 3: Takedown for about a year before I finally played it... boy, an I sorry I waited for so long. This is a really fun game. Unlike most racing games, this game encourages, actually requires, contact between you and the other racers. You want to cause them to crash while not crashing yourself. As you cause opponents to crash you fill up your boost bar which allows you to go much...

Vehicular Mayhem at its Best

Strengths: Racing game with the ability to vehicularly assault your opponents. Crash mode. Great soundtrack. Great controls. Satisfies urge for destruction.

Weakness: Major peeve: Just when you thought the AI was out of contention due to a spectacular crash you inflicted, it comes roaring back. Same cannot be said for you if the situation is reversed. DJ Stryker of the World Famous KROQ is a bit annoying.

Cannot get enough of this game. When I have a particularly bad day in traffic, I come home, relax and play this game to relieve the frustration of sitting in traffic for an hour or two. Burnout is an arcadey racing game with great controls and gameplay with multiple game modes like racing, time trial and crash mode. Not being a racing fan, this game is highly addictive as it includes the ability...

Loads of fun

Strengths: crazy sense of speed, simple yet complex racing

There is no other racing series quite like Burnout. I was skeptical at first but once I raced through a track I was hooked. The idea behind Burnout seems simple but the racing is deep. It has everything a normal arcade racer has - i.e. you ultimately want to finish first, you can powerslide around sharp corners. But something other racers haven't done is the game rewards you for taking risks,...

Burnout 3: Takedown

Think of your favorite car chase sequence: Ronin, The Bourne Identity, The Matrix Reloaded – any film will do. Picture the narrow streets, the busy freeways, and the inevitable collisions between inferior drivers and unlucky bystanders. Imagine the cool camera angles, and how some directors implemented new angles that no one had ever seen before. These camera angles, while boring in repetition,...
